This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 101191436.

MARE focuses on enhancing security and privacy in the emerging 6G ecosystem. Rather than creating a new 6G architecture, the project aligns with existing European flagship efforts, such as the HEXA-X projects, which define 6G as a versatile platform supporting a wide range of services.

MARE’s goal is to strengthen the 6G platform by introducing a suite of security enablers that ensure a reliable and trustworthy environment for service execution. By integrating seamlessly with ongoing global 6G initiatives, the project leverages collective knowledge to address key challenges in securing next-generation networks.

Why it matters:

As 6G becomes the backbone for everything from autonomous systems to immersive communication and smart infrastructure, ensuring robust security is critical. MARE’s contributions will help safeguard data and privacy, fostering trust and accelerating the adoption of 6G technologies worldwide.

XLAB’s role

XLAB contributes as a runtime and deployment security expert, providing cutting-edge solutions to ensure the safety and reliability of services running on the 6G platform.
